The steps below are exclusively for iPhone users who want to create a Channel account. If you are using an Android phone, please check the Android user guide instead.
1. Scan the QR code below with WeChat.
2. Click "确认" (confirm).
3. Click ‘Create’
4. Then it will require you to start the Real Name verification process.
5. You are required to add a bank card as part of the verification process. No payment will be taken.
6. Put in the same mobile number you have used to register WeChat & follow the screen instructions.
7. Put in the passcode. After that it will prompt you to upload an identity doc for verification. (this will happened at the end
8. After that, you can create your own Channel account. Fill in the fields.
9. You will be directed to the Tencent program page, just scroll up and click ‘X’.
10. In the next screen, you will be asked to upload the identity doc photo to complete the verification.
11. Once you've completed all the steps, you will be redirected to the homepage. If you wish to update your profile information, navigate to the 'Me' tab, then click on 'Channel,' and finally, tap the '...' icon located in the top right corner.
